To hire or to do it yourself?
Good question. However, the answer to this question requires another question.
What do I mean? I run the creative division and marketing of my clients and WebWorks Digital marketing, which requires time, creativity, and the right tools.
Some people think it is an easy job, all you need to do is take a photo and do a little editing, post, and that’s all. Little did they know, there’s more effort to it than just that. You will need to understand where you want to take your company, what kind of goal do you want to achieve? Creating aesthetically beautiful pages or photos is not enough. Just because you have seen this done by others successfully, can you do the same method? The answer to these questions vary.
I have prepared some questions for you to evaluate whether you’ll need a social media manager or if you can do this by yourself.
- Is your net income last fiscal year about $30k or above?
- Do you have a physical store?
- Do you have a website?
- Do you have at least four different social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Youtube, Pinterest)?
- Do you post at least three times a week on each social media platform?
- Do you create the content for your postings (Not a copy and paste photo or video by others)?
- Do people engage in your postings (Like, comment, share)?
- Does your business require social media presence?
- Do you think you can spend some money on advertising?
- The most important question, do you have time?
If you have answered 6-10 YES, in that case, you might not need to hire a social media manager but someone to help you create the graphics for a more engaging social media posting. I am also offering this service. Read this article, Creative Content, for more information.
If you have answered my questions mostly with a NO, I will not suggest hiring a social media manager just yet.
You need to answer these three additional questions:
- What is your goal?
- Do you have demographics data?
- What sets you apart from others?
Once you have answered these questions, then I will now suggest hiring a social media manager. Although, finding the right manager is like looking for a good wife. It won’t be easy, but if you do found her, you will be able to accomplish your set goals in no time. If you weren’t able to answer my questions, do not worry. Take your time to answer them, as those are important questions that will help you find the right manager. Feel free to comment down below if you have questions.
I have started with managing my friends’ social media business accounts, then I have become a partner of WebWorks Digital Marketing. They have entrusted me to handle company image, content, and social media posting. Some of them were just start-ups, and some have been successful already.

Are you considering my suggestion to hire a social media manager? Do you want to get started? Good news! I am giving you a 1-week free trial. No credit card is needed! How to proceed? Please answer this form. Hurry! I only allow three slots monthly.
